‘Mini Lease’ launched

As credit remains a problem for many companies who have a requirement for short to medium term vehicles we may have a solution for you.

We’ve recently launched a “Mini Lease” product whereby a lease can be arranged on most of our used cars for as little as one month up to two years. So for example if you have a new employee or need a car for short term and don’t want to commit to a lengthy lease have a look at our used stock and let us take care of the rest.

There aren’t any time consuming finance applications and you can drive away in the car almost immediately.

Scrapping scrappage

It’s interesting to see how many cars have been sold under the scrappage scheme over the past eighteen months.

There’s no doubt that whilst it hasn’t helped all sectors in the motor trade it certainly has helped maintain jobs. Unfortunately with the slowdown in credit still affecting businesses and the imminent departure of scrappage (see http://www.simi.ie/utilities/pressrelease_details.aspx?id=377) there’s a strong likelihood that more garages will close over the autumn months and more people lose their jobs.

With the banks not lending, even to multinationals, something urgently needs to be done by Government to fix this problem.

More Red Tape!

European legislation now require that company car users who are covered by a fleet or group insurance policy now register their vehicles with www.nfd.ie.

This is the National Fleet Database who maintain records of all insured vehicles. If your car or van is covered under a block insurance policy (your insurance disc will not have the vehicle registration details on it) then you need to get it added to the NFD.

That’s all we need. More red tape!
